There are certain places where jinns are known to reside or gather at-

Some are mentioned in hadith-

Qatadah related from 'Abdullah ibn Sarjas who said, "The Messenger of Allah forbade urination into a hole." Said Qatadah, "What is disliked about urinating into a hole?" Said he, "It is the residence of the jinn." This hadith is related by Ahmad, an-Nasa'i, Abu Dawud, al-Hakim and al-Baihaqi. Ibn Khuzaimah and Ibn as-Sakin classified it as sahih.

Abu Hurairah reported that the Messenger of Allah, upon whom be peace, said, "Beware of those acts which cause others to curse." They asked, "What are those acts?" He said, "Relieving yourself in the people's walkways or in their shade." This hadith is related by Ahmad, Muslim and Abu Dawud.

So it is well known that urinating in open places (even bushy area of hard shoulder on the motorways, parks) without reading the dua for entering the toilet may lead to a person accidentally urinating on a jinn and harming them.

This is mentioned in most books about jinns. And it is confirmed through numerous accounts of trust worthy raqis around the world.

There is a hadith about prohibition of urinating in a crack in the ground too. I'll post it if i find it insha Allah.

The trees seem to be the gathering place of jinns.

Allah Knows Best.

Salam brother,

JazakAllahu khair..

Alhamdullilah I do encourage my kids to say some duas as soon as they wake up and before going to sleep and I blow on them the 3 Kuls...

My eldest daughter is old enough to pronounce the duas with correct words but my other 2 are little younger and when they say the dua sometimes (all the times )they mess up with the words or pronunciation ..i mean, they say it in a childish way..(i hope you undestand what iam trying to say here) sometimes they compete with themselves who say the dua first ..and stuff like that...But Alhamdullilah they do it everyday without fail as soon as they wake up and before going to bed...MashaAllah.

so is this enough as a protection for them or do i need to supervise them or read along with them the duas?

I think i've mentioned how to protect children... but i'll expand on the issue a bit more.

How should we protect our children?

1. Protect the home first read the whole of surah Baqarah once every three days. Make azan in the house for every prayer. The home is the fortess of the woman. (i might expand on this point later)

2. Reading adkhaar over them every morning (before sending them to school) and evening.

A'uzubi kalimathith thamma min kulli shaytanin wa hamma wa min killi alynil lamma.

I seek refuge in the Perfect Word of Allah from every devil and poisonous creature and every evil eye.

Shiekh Waleed mentioned that the prophet (pbuh) used to seek refuge for Hasaan and Hussain with this dua when they were children.

Ibrahim (as) would also read this dua to protect his children Ismael (as) and Ishaaq (as)

3. Read the 2 quls x3 and then blow on your hands and wipe over them before sleeping. (Front of thier bodies (not the back), from head to toe. But dont come back up ie. from feet to head.

4. You read ayat al kursi aloud with eman and tawwakul (that Allah (swt) sends down an angel to protect you all night- teach this to the children)

5. Saying bismilliah before letting them out of the house either for play in the garden or to go school.

6. Teaching them about the sunnah ie. never urinate under trees, or a hole, or cave or hard shoulder of motor way except in desprate situation even then read the dua for entering toilet because its a dua to seek refuge from the jinns (daleel: toilets were not attached to the houses in the time of the prophet so people used to go out in the night to an area of land that was designated for releieving one self that is what is called the hammam. (still found nower days in muzdalifa hajj) but is mentioned in hadith)

7. Bring them inside the house 20 minutes or sooner before maghrib.

8. Close the doors and windows saying bismilah. Cover utensils.

9. Teach the children not to get angry and if they do to say bismillah

10. Be careful abroad- girl have got possessed because thier parents dressed them in nice clothes and hiar done up nicely and took them to a village known to have jinns. no protective dua over them so jinns like these children and possess them.

Allah Hu Alim

Salam

I made a statement aloud the other night in bed alone, I did some zhir, red my Kuls and was in Wudhu and said that if there is a female Jinn or male Jinn trying to distract me or harm me then let them come forth and then I felt and noticed the room went very queit and the atmosphere changed, I was mixed with fear and confidence so started reading my duas, Kuls and ayut ul kursi, but the dream I had that night was terrible, very lustful, I was if I was watching the dream of a movie of a beetle juice type film but it was a witch over a board game of my life and I was at bad places and doing terrible things and even was with jinns.. I want to know if there is a Jinn possessing someone.. they can still pray though? Do possession mean complete control?

akhi my advice to you would be to contact ruqya_shariya@yahoo.co.uk where you will find help and advice.

Rather than discussing detailed things that are affecting you on a public forum.

Jazak Allah khair.
