The purpose of AlKauthar forum is to facilitate open discussions among current and future students of AlKauthar Institute and members of Mercy Mission. AlKauthar management and its appointed moderators have the right to evaluate the threads and posts case by case and take appropriate actions, if necessary. Following are the guidelines for proper usage of the forum

1. Definition:

1.1. Prohibited content Content that cannot be posted in the forum under any circumstances and will be deleted at the earliest possible.

1.2. Content that may result in thread closure or posts removed This can be a thread where the discussion is diverting into areas that would be of no benefit or harmful to the visitors and users of the forum.

1.3. Content that may be moderated This can be a thread where the users start diverting into areas that are not directly harmful but needs advice to keep the discussion in track.

2. Description and examples:

2.1. Prohibited Content

2.1.1 Explicit haram (Islamically prohibited) content which include and not limited to the following:

• quoting illegal marital relationships
• justifying haram activities
• exposing and discussing about one's / others sins
• Backbiting and slandering

2.1.2. Announcements and advertisements of events of other organizations. However the following are the exceptions:

• Mercy Mission events
• Events featuring AlKauthar instructors
• Events where AlKauthar is collaborating / being promoted or advertised

2.1.3. Hyper-links to media web content not related to AlKauthar and its seminars

2.1.4. Hyper-links to AlKauthar copy-righted seminar audio files

2.2. Content that may result in thread closure or posts removed

• Cross gender teasing, flirting, or joking which may fall beyond accepted Islamic etiquette
• Physical description of oneself or others
• Personal information like contact number, contact address and email address
• Disrespectful discussions and insults towards shuyukh and other members of the forum
• All forms of harassment and bullying and any other form of discriminatory behavior based upon race, nationality, colour, social standing, gender and/or personal relationship with other parties / organizations
• Criticizing other Islamic organizations
• Discussions about topics not related to AlKauthar seminars or the topics covered in the seminars
• Unreferenced personal opinions on shariah issues or copying and pasting fatwas from other websites.
• Posts or discussions that may cause harm of any manner to AlKauthar students, tutors or related affiliates worldwide
• Posts that explicitly undermine the positive impact AlKauthar International aims to have on society through education
• Hadiths and quotes from sources without proper references
• Copying and pasting copyrighted material without permission from the publishers
• Cross posting - posting the same message in multiple threads of the forum

2.3. Content that may be moderated

• Topics related to AlKauthar seminars, but discussions diverting into unrelated areas or unnecessary discussions
• Heated discussion between members without proper Islamic manners
• Attempting to enhance someone's reputation at the expense of another's reputation
• Not addressing instructors, directors and colleagues with due respect
• Discussions that would harm the reputation of AlKauthar and it’s subsidiaries
